Kamala Harris & Douglas Emhoff

There’s a saying that goes, “Behind every great man is an equally great woman.” While this rings true for most couples, it’s the other way around for US VicePresident Kamala Harris and her husband, Douglas Emhoff. It is Harris who is always in the public eye, while Emhoff lends his support quietly from behind the scenes. The pair have always been openly affectionate toward each other, and there is good reason for the electricity this couple gives off.

According to a feature by The Hollywood Reporter, Harris and Emhoff met on a blind date. It was probably love at first sight for the two because just a year later, they were wed. Emhoff has two children from a previous marriage, and the kids have an excellent relationship with Harris as well. In fact, they adorably refer to her as “Momala”!
