Despite his degree of fame, Muir keeps his love life a closely guarded secret. Rumors linked him to ABC colleague Gio Benitez in 2015. They were pictured together multiple times, which sparked speculations. After becoming engaged to his fiancée, Tommy DiDario, on September 17, 2015, Benitez put the rumors to rest. Kate Dries wrote an article for Jezebel in October 2015 titled Report Indicates My Boyfriend David Muir Is a “Monster.” The post depicted her as one of Muir’s many fans, but there is no proof that the two were dating.
